McKena starts 2nd Grade

Today, 8/26/08 was McKena's first day of second grade. She started out with a smile and came home with a smile!

End of Summer Fun

We took the day off today (8/19/08) to go have some end of the summer fun before McKena starts 2nd grade next week. Marlee, McKena, and McKena's friend Brooke came along to Wet 'n Wild here in Greensboro. It was a lot of fun!

Marlee's Birthday!

Today we celebrated Marlee's Birthday at the house. It was Dora the Explorer themed. Marlee had a lot of fun with family and friends! Her official birthday is Monday, August 18.

Let's Shop

We ran to Lowe's grocery store to pick up a couple of things, and Marlee got her first experience pushing her kids-size grocery cart. Next thing we know, her empty basket turned int a basket with "Scooby Doo" cookies. She knew exactly what she wanted and with the smile it was too hard to say no. So Scooby Doo and Dora cookies are now at home in our pantry. 08-15-08.

Ears Pierced

Look closely...You'll see a sparkle-ly pink flower in McKena's ear lobe. Yes, Saturday August 2 was the big day. We visited the shopping center and McKena got her ears pierced. She was very excited!

Wild Hair Day

I think the title is self-explanatory, it was wild hair day in the toddler room at preschool July 29, 2008. Marlee went for the alien tentacles look.

This was Marlee's first baseball game on July 19 at the Greensboro Grasshoppers. She had a great time. We thought it might be a bit much to expect an almost 2 yr. old to sit still for so long, but Marlee did great. McKena and her friend Brooke came along too. Marlee kept saying the whole time and is still 2 weeks later saying "Marlee baseball".
